Conversation Today

Stone:  "If you made us go to school, you'd be mean parents."

Me:  "Do you want to go to school?"

Stone:  "No!  I have this thing going.  I'm never going to go to school.  But.  I already ruined that because I went to homeschool co-op."

iPod tragedy

Tonight is Grandma's night to have all of the Grand children over to her house, where they usually make videos on her computer and then spend lots of time laughing at those videos. :)

I dropped the children (all four) off and left around 5.  At 5:15, I received a phone call from Grandma that Stone's iPod had been dropped and it broke the glass on the front.

Stone got on the phone and was so upset he couldn't really talk to me, so I told him I'd come right back up there.

When I got there, I held him and told him everything was going to be ok, and that he would have an iPod again, no worries.  He calmed down and was happy to see that the iPod still worked through the shattered glass.

I felt so bad for him.  He had just re-discovered his iPod after it had been mia for a month or more.  When I said we'd make sure he got another one, that made him cry more, saying, "ya, but that makes me feel even worse because of all that money you'll have to spend".

I'll be calling the apple store tomorrow to see what we can do.
